Purchasing manga

This guide explains how to purchase and read manga using coins.

Coins are one way to read on emaqi. If you’d rather read without buying chapters one by one, emaqi premium is a monthly subscription that unlocks the premium area of eligible titles. It’s available in the emaqi app in the United States and Canada.

Step 1: Purchasing coins

Coins are digital currency you can use within emaqi to purchase manga. Note: You can skip this step if you already have coins.

Open the Coin Shop

Tap “My Page” → “Coin Shop”.

Choose a coin package

Choose from a range of packages (100-10,000 coins).
Larger packages include bonus coins.

Complete your payment

Follow the payment steps on your device.
Your coins are added to your account right away.

Step 2: Finding manga you want to purchase

Browse the home screen

Check out featured titles and new releases.
Browse genres that interest you.

Search for a specific manga

Tap the search icon and enter the manga title.
Look through the search results.

Open the manga details

Tap a manga cover to view its details.
Review the synopsis and the chapters and volumes available to purchase.

Step 3: Purchasing manga

View the chapter list

All chapters appear in the “Chapters” tab on the manga details page.
Free chapters are labeled “Free”.
Paid chapters show the number of coins required (for example, a coin icon followed by “20”).
Chapters labeled Premium are part of emaqi premium and can’t be purchased with coins. Read them with a subscription. Premium volumes can still be bought with coins.

Select a chapter to purchase

Tap the button showing the coin amount.
Confirm your purchase.
Your coin balance updates automatically after the purchase.

Purchasing volumes

View the volume list

Tap the “Volumes” tab to see the volumes available to purchase.

Select a volume to purchase

Tap the button showing the coin amount.
Confirm your purchase.
Your coin balance updates automatically after the purchase.
